Small business utility provider XLN today unveiled a brand new floor, in a multi-million pound investment that looks set to bring 150 new careers in Sheffield.
XLN’s Founder and CEO was joined by the Lord Mayor, Magid Magid, to officially cut the ribbon on this new venture. The new floor will see the company double the size of their team and sees XLN make a further contribution to the continued regeneration of the city.
XLN secured 14,000 square foot on a ten- year lease at One North Bank in September 2014, introducing careers in Sheffield then, and this has now grown into an additional 14,000 square foot – occupying two floors of the riverside building on Blonk Street. More than 160 staff currently work at the company in roles including customer service, account management, technical support, telesales, HR, finance and technical development.
On the unveiling, XLN Founder and Group Chief Executive said:
‘Helping to bring 150 new roles to this vibrant city fills me with great pride – it’s a testament to just how far XLN has come and points towards the heights we’re looking to scale in 2019. It wasn’t easy starting from scratch in a new city but the last few years have seen a joint prosperity as both our company and this city continue to grow together. Sheffield was the ideal choice for XLN and so was One North Bank. So we’re looking to double our number in the next year and that means attracting high calibre candidates that want to be part of our exciting journey.’
XLN Brand Marketing Director, Julian Przygrodzki added: ‘It’s more than just a job, it’s a career. There’s true opportunity here, with our training focused on creating leaders and developing from within. There’s no death by Powerpoint, our team learns by example – our culture is interactive, it’s fun and above all, it rewards success.’

About XLN
XLN was founded in 2002 to champion small businesses in the UK. All too often, micro-sized companies like barbers, cafes and opticians were getting a raw deal from the giant corporates that provided their essential services. The company now holds the industry record for call answer time at just six second and has over 3 million users registered to XLN Wifi. Interest in the company’s 150 careers is expected to be high – as unlike many call centre environments XLN offer attractive Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm hours as well as a host of progression and development opportunities.
XLN are still experiencing phenomenal growth and are continuing to expand. Find out more about their products and services. And keep an eye out for more XLN careers in Sheffield.
